PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED ITEMS TO AUSTRIA WHEN SENDING WITH DHL, UPS, TNT, PARCELFORCE AND DPD.
It is the policy of all couriers not to carry any Dangerous, Prohibited or Restricted goods or Valuable items.
Dangerous Goods - Anything considered hazardous such as acids, chemicals & certain other substances or articles that can pose a hazard to the health & safety of people or that may cause damage to property or the environment (if a leak or spillage should occur). For example, any hazardous items specified in the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (“UNRTDG”).
Prohibited or Restricted Goods - Items not permitted by national or international law, rule or regulation. These include firearms, weapons, explosives & munitions (including but not limited to replicas, imitations & blank firing pistols), animal parts, animals, livestock, insects, tobacco/tobacco products or any items the carriage of which would break laws or rules in any country over which the consignment travels.
Valuable Goods - Any goods of high value such as bullion, cashiers/travellers cheques, currency, money orders, negotiable instruments in bearer form, credit/debit cards, important documents (including passports, tenders, share/option certificates) stamps, antiques, unprotected furniture, precious stones, precious metals, artwork, jewellery or valuable items of wear (including occasional wear) high value designer items (including clothing, watches, shoes, handbags).
All items listed below (or any item similar in description or content) can not be carried under any circumstances by couriers, any person attempting to send such items will have their order cancelled and returned to the sender without refund.
Compensation for loss or damage.
This is a door to door courier service and is collected and delivered by Parcelforce or DHL travelling on their road network. Standard compensation is £50 per parcel, which can be extended by calling us for a quote.
If the parcel has not been delivered you will be able to claim back the cost of the sale price for the goods only up to the value of insurance you purchased.

Do I need to deal with customs when sending to Austria from the UK?
Although Austria is a E.U. country the U.K has left the E.U. and your parcel is now subject to customs regulations, when you send a parcel from the U.K. to Austria all parcels must have a commercial invoice or a pro forma attached to them, this form is emailed to you after booking for you to fill in.
