What are prohibited
items?
These are items
that can not be sent on the DHL network. Please check our list of prohibited
items to ensure that your parcel can be delivered without any delays.
There are some
obvious things that you can not send with DHL (such as animals, illegal substances,
guns and explosives for instance). But there are also less obvious items that
DHL can’t transport, including aerosols, perfumes, aftershaves, eau de
toilettes & cash.
CLINICAL TESTING
KITS - currently prohibited
We are unable to ship clinical testing kits - new or used,
including COVID-19 - via DHLitNow or DHL Service Point at this time.
WHAT YOU CAN'T SEND
The following items
will NOT be accepted for carriage by DHL. This list includes items which are
prohibited for carriage by any law, regulation or statute of any federal, state
or local government of any country from, to or through which the items may be
carried. There may be additional prohibited items specified by the country of
destination. DHL may at its sole discretion refuse to carry other items not
listed below.

Alcohol, cigarettes and narcotics
· Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco products and electronic cigarettes
· Medicinal cannabis & illegal narcotics
Electronic devices
· More than 2 mobile phones, laptops and other small electronic items
You can send a maximum of 2 devices per box. The batteries must be contained within the devices. Devices should be packed to minimise movement, so as to avoid short circuit or unintentional activation. Your total shipment value can be up to £5000
· Samsung Galaxy Note7 and Samsung Note7 devices
Hazardous and dangerous items
· Dangerous / hazardous goods including but not limited to flammable and corrosive substances, dry ice and biological substances
· Firearms, ammunition and explosives including explosive devices, inert explosives and test pieces, air guns, toy guns, tasers, replica and imitation firearms and all firearm parts.
· Party poppers and Christmas crackers
· Used car parts and engines Only acceptable if professionally cleaned to remove residues.
Human, animal and plants
· Clinical and / or biological samples including but not limited to bodily fluids and tissue samples.
· Flowers and plants.
· Human remains or ashes in any form.
· Live animals including insects, larvae and pupae.
Money, valuables and tax stickers
· Banderols / tax stickers.
· Bullion of any precious metal.
· Cash and travellers cheques Legal tender – bank notes, currency notes, coins.
· Commemorative coins and medals with a total shipment value over £2,000.
· Jewellery, costume jewellery, watches and objects constructed of precious metal and/or stones with a total shipment value over £4,000.
· Loose precious and semi-precious stones Cut or un-cut, polished or un-polished.
· Illegal goods such as narcotics.
· Pornography printed, film or digital format.
COMPENSATION
DHL's liability for direct loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the current market or declared value of the goods or 22 Special Drawing Rights per kilogram (approximately US$ 30 per kilogram for shipments transported by air or 8.33 Special Drawing Rights per kilogram (US$ 11 per kilogram) for shipments transported by road.

All parcels are subject to security / Customs inspections in Poland. Goods may be subject to customs duties and taxes, the receiver will be required to such taxes or duty prior to or on delivery.
